The pour has started.
A weekly show for dads building something — at home, at work, and everywhere in between. Every episode starts with a cocktail and an honest conversation.
New episodes Thursdays — listen on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube. One good email a week. No spam.
Honest conversations, poured weekly.
DadTails is a weekly show for dads who are building something — a family, a career, a faith, a business, usually all at once. Every episode starts with a cocktail and goes wherever the honest conversation takes us: the wins, the stuff nobody warns you about, and the questions we are still figuring out.
No experts. No highlight reel.
Just two dads talking about the things that actually matter, the way you would talk about them with a good friend and a good drink.
Here’s how a pour goes.
Four segments, poured in order — each one hands you to the next.
The Cocktail
One drink, one story, one fact. A classic, a house experiment, something seasonal — and the recipe always comes with it.
The cocktail is the warm-up lap. Easy back-and-forth is what makes a show feel like pulling up a chair next to friends instead of listening to a panel.
Faith
One text, one honest anchor — what we’re wrestling with, what we’re leaning on. No sermon required.
Faith goes early on purpose. Going vulnerable first buys the trust the rest of the hour spends. One passage, one real doubt each — never a homily.
Family
The heart of it: one story, one lesson, one question about raising kids while you’re still figuring yourself out.
This is the segment you send your spouse. What sticks with kids isn’t what we say once. It’s what they catch us repeating.
What’s Moving
The big one: something fresh moving in the world of work and money. Two corners, a real disagreement, no tidy bow.
It’s the longest and the hottest, so it closes the show. You get both cases, then what each of us actually believes.
Two dads who figured it out as they went.
We’re Pete and Ryan — five years of friendship deep, two dads in the same season of life. One of us lives in systems and strategy; the other’s the one you want mixing the drinks and steering the conversation.
Pete
The systems guy — frameworks, spreadsheets, and a strong opinion about doing things on purpose. Usually steering us back to the plan. Usually getting talked out of it.
Meet Pete →Ryan
The drinks guy — steers the conversation, pours the cocktail, and started DadTails in the first place. The one you want holding the shaker.
Meet Ryan →The kit we actually use.
Every tool behind the bar on the show, plus the two books every cocktail comes out of. Pour along.

One email a week: the new episode before it’s public, and the cocktail from the show.
